Is-sinjal għal ĊAĦAD għandu żewġ partijiet qishom kontinwazzjoni ta’ xulxin. (i) L-ewwel, id waħda tieħu l-forma ta’ 1 bil-pala tħares lejn il-ġenb. Il-werrej jitla’ quddiem ix-xufftejn waqt li l-espressjoni tal-wiċċ tindika n-negattiv, l-iktar bil-ħuġbejn imkemmxin. (ii) Id waħda tieqaf quddiem bil-pala tħares ’il fuq waqt li l-id l-oħra tieħu l-forma ta’ B, bil-pala tħares lejn il-ġenb, u tinżel biex tolqot il- pala tal-id l-oħra.
The sign for DENY has two parts that merge into one. (i) First one hand takes the shape of 1 with the palm facing sideways. The index finger moves up in front of the lips whilst the facial expression is that of the negative, particularly through the wrinkled eyebrows. (ii) One hand is held stationary at the front, with the palm facing upwards. The other hand takes the shape of B, with palm facing sideways, and moves down to hit the palm of the stationary hand.
